ABOUT ME
I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona, where I began my Ph.D. studies in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2018. I worked with Dr. John Wiens to answer broad questions in biology using phylogenetic methods. My primary research interest is sexual selection. I am particularly interested in studying visual sexually selected traits such as colors, horns, frills, and courtship behaviors.

I am passionate about biology education and am an experienced instructor. I use learner-focused pedagogical practices to both demonstrate and encourage honesty and creativity in the classroom. I currently teach General Biology II at Pima Community College.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, drawing, and photography.
